A note from Jennifer:

My name is Jennifer Asente, and I am the owner of The UPS Store #2559 in Ohio.  I started volunteering my time with The Pink and Blue Awareness Project in 2019 after learning about it through a pregnancy and infant loss support group I help to run in Akron, Ohio. This project means a lot to me and my family.  We suffered an early miscarriage after years of trying, and then lost our daughter Lily Esta when she was only 23 days old. We learned at Lily’s anatomy scan that there was something wrong, but no one was able to tell us what or why.  After many tests, she did what we thought was going to be impossible and made it to term.  Although many of her health issues were able to be corrected with surgery, she was only born with basic brain stem function, so we had to make the most difficult decision of our lives and remove her from her life support. After the first year making bracelets for the Project, I knew I could help in other ways, so I volunteered my time and resources to help with the design and printing for the project through my The UPS Store located in West Akron.  It’s a way for me to spread awareness about a project I value and help keep the memory of my daughter alive. I love everything about this project, and I am so glad that I found it!
